Drug Crimes
Any crime that involves buying, selling, possessing, and manufacturing drugs is a drug crime. The purpose of criminal drug laws is to reduce the unlawful consumption of drugs, to reduce drug-related crime, and to severely punish repeat offenders and major drug dealers. The punishment for a drug crime largely depends on the quantity of the drug, its classification under the law, and the purpose of its possession.
